i’m not bipolar i just have some really good and really shitty stuff going on.
tonight max starts obedience class!!!! if he’s the class dunce i’ll die.
being a single mom is hard, you know? it’s just me and max against the world. i can’t let him get too close to any men in my life, or he’ll become attached and it will hurt too much when they leave. then he’ll grow up with daddy issues and treat women like crap. it’s a lot of responsibility raising a young man in this time and culture. especially one who is 14 (in human years) and craps on the floor.

clutching my coffee like it’s my life source (it is). that’s my dog growling at innocent passersby. he’s very protective. it’s nice to have someone be so excited to see you when you get home - even if i just step out to run a 10 minute errand, he goes wild when i come back. after a hard day at work on no sleep and my period and being generally emotionally/physically exhausted, it sure makes a girl feel damn special!
weekend plans: work. work. work. try not to have an emotional breakdown at work. try not to have an emotional breakdown outside of work. attempt sleep. ba da bing ba da boom.

YES! there are SO many environmental/animal rights reason to adopt if you want a pet. also i didn’t realize until i got max that there are more than just cats and dogs at the shelter (at least the kent county one on fuller) - rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, etc! so even if you’re getting a pet like that, check the shelter first. don’t support an industry that profits by breeding unhealthy, purebred animals and exploits the planet.
i’m not a PETA person or anything i just feel really passionate about it… the animal will love you forever, they are probably healthier due to not being purebred/having stronger immune systems (yes they’ve been exposed to diseases so they may have caught something, but there’s a 2 week “return policy” where if the animal has expensive health problems that you can’t afford to fix, you can get some of your $$ back from the shelter), and it’s definitely less expensive.
GPOYW- Protesting the new Pawsh Puppies store at a local mall last Saturday. I swear there were a lot of us…we were just spread out along the sidewalk so it looks like I’m awesome standing up for a cause all by myself :-)
